Storyline: 
Los viajes en el tiempo de Marty McFly están a punto de llegar a su fin. Storyline: 
Esta segunda parte comienza donde terminó la primera, con Marty McFly y Jennifer Parker (esta vez la interpreta Elisabeth Shue) que vuelven a encontrarse después de lo ocurrido en la película anterior, de lo que la chica no sabe nada. Entonces llega el doctor Brown con la máquina del tiempo, que vuelve del futuro en el DeLorean que modificó para funcionar con basura en vez del plutonio que robó a terroristas libios en la película anterior, y le dice a Marty y a Jennifer que deben ir con él, puesto que sus hijos corren peligro en el futuro. Biff, que ahora trabaja para el padre de Marty como lavador de automóviles, ve al De Lorean elevándose con un mecanismo del futuro y desapareciendo.
Marty, Doc y Jennifer suben al DeLorean ya que van a resolver asuntos con sus futuros hijos, al subirse Marty y Jennifer, Marty dice que no hay suficiente camino para acelerar a 88 MPH, a lo que el Doc responde que a donde van no necesitan caminos y la máquina del tiempo comienza a volar debido a que el Doc le agregó tecnología del futuro, el año 2015..
